Setting a Learning Goal(s)
A Learning Goal is a goal related to school or to the classroom. Your goal should be as specific as possible and be in an area that you wish to develop (do better in). Your Learning Goal may be the same as someone else’s or different. Simply choose a Learning Goal, explain why you chose this as your Learning Goal and then list some strategies of how you are going to achieve this Learning Goal.
LEARNING GOAL EXAMPLE:
Learning Goal = to get a ‘C’ grade or higher in PLP. I chose this as my Learning Goal because I need to pass PLP to get my SACE. I need my SACE, as I intend on going to university after Year 12.

Strategies that I will use to help me achieve my goal are:
- Hand up assignments on time – write due dates in my diary and check my diary each night for homework.
- Use class time effectively – stay in my seat, sit next to people who will not distract me and don’t waste time.
- Follow the teacher’s instructions – ask for help when needed.
- Submit drafts – so I can get my work checked and use feedback to improve my assignments.
